Swineshead looking formidable
In The Taylors Garages Premier Division, Swineshead Institute showed their clear intentions for the second week running with another away win, this time 5-3 at Pointon - 8 goals in the opening 2 away games. Wyberton Reserves got their season underway with a 4-2 away win at Billinghay. The signs aren't good for Mareham United, however, as they continue to bolster their squad after several players defected. An 8-0 defeat at home to Old Leake shows they are in urgent need of several more players. In Taylors Peugeot Division One there were welcome opening victories for Friskney, Freiston and Heckington Millers. There were plenty of goals in Taylors Ford Division Two with Westside hitting double figures against Kirton Town Reserves and Leverton thumping eight away from home at troubled Spalding Harriers. Eastern European F.C. were held to a 1-1 draw by Railway Atheltic in Taylors Vauxhall Division Three.
